Bangles of Hope was launched in 2004 by Amanda Kern, Founder and Director of Sales. As a Registered Nurse, Amanda wanted a way to continue to support the healthcare community during her nursing sabbatical after her son was born. She began making bracelets for fun, and selling them on eBay. It wasn't long before her part time hobby was a full time business, and Bangles of Hope launched its first Web site.
After partnering with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to donate a portion of the profits of all Cystic Fibrosis jewelry sold on the Web site, the business expanded dramatically. Bangles of Hope has since partnered with Neurofibromatosis Inc. of California to donate a portion of the profits of all NF Awareness jewelry sold.
Jen Schaefer is a professional Web designer with 10 years of experience. In the Spring of 2008, she joined her sister Amanda as business partner and Director of Marketing and Web Services for Bangles of Hope.
